Feelings can be deceptive at times. Often, what you perceive as love may in fact be an entirely different emotion. But your actions cannot – and usually will not – be mistaken; nor forgotten.
So, rather than ask, “What is love?” you must sincerely ask, “Do I perform acts of love for my ‘loved ones’?” and “Do they perform acts of love for me?
Even in the sun I see love. It provides us with heat and light energy that helps sustain our planet – and our lives. Unconditionally, unyieldingly, uncontrollably. For all this, it requests nor expects anything in return; absolutely nothing – now that, is love. It is also important to come to the realization that in a loving relationship, it’s your job to fill some void for someone, and them fill yours – but NEVER when it creates another void in yourself. Choose wisely.
“One who looks around him is intelligent, one who looks within him is wise.” ~ Matshona Dhliwayo
Now that we have thoroughly discussed that emotion, come to the realization that a positive and conscious way of thinking can be applied to any emotion. Now we will focus on the employment of “Emotional Intelligence”. One of the key aspects of your emotions is the way you employ emotional intelligence in response to what you are feeling. The concept of emotional intelligence tells us that our ability to understand and manage emotions greatly increases our chances of success. This idea has played a key role in enriching the way people think about emotions and human behavior.
Emotional intelligence can serve as one of the most powerful tools in your arsenal when wielded by an enlightened and servant leader. It helps promote your self-awareness, self-control, motivation, empathy, and social skills, all while improving your influence as a leader. Emotional intelligence is recognition, understanding, and a choice of our thoughts, feelings, and actions. It shapes our synergy with others and our awareness of ourselves. It characterizes how and what we learn; it aids us in setting priorities; it plays a vital role in the majority of your daily actions.
Before you can effectively employ emotional intelligence, you must first understand how it looks in everyday life. There are several steps you can take to further understand and more effectively employ your emotional intelligence. In the following paragraphs, I will identify a few and expound on their employment. ~ Excerpt From “Cast Your Light”
