“Failure Does Not Exist” – Enjoy the latest excerpt from “Cast Your Light,” coming soon from the Author KJ Carleo, Founder and CEO of Cast Your Light publishing.
When setting goals, you must secure a HIGH, FIRM grip on that rope and PULL. Do not concern yourself with how far you are from the top, just keep pulling yourself – closer. You must not fear the occasional urge to look down, for it is the only way you can recognize HOW FAR YOU HAVE RISEN.
“Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.” ~ Samuel Beckett
There will be times when you do not reach a goal you set, and that’s OK. What is NOT Ok is looking it as a failure. “Failure” [feyl-yer] (n) is defined as an act or instance of failing or proving unsuccessful; lack of success.
So, what do you do when you are not successful? You dust yourself off and TRY AGAIN!
As is beauty, “failure” is in the eye of the beholder. Contrary to popular belief, to “fail” does not mean to stop. It is the lack of success – the omission of expected or required action. Act again. You must act!
Typically, those who might attempt to discourage you and tell you that you can’t and won’t are likely the ones who are afraid of what might happen when you do succeed. Set an example for them, do not merely show them in a vengeful manner. This is where inspiration is born, and it must ALWAYS be positive.
To those who you think might want to see you fail, they are actually emanating some deeply rooted internalization of their own capabilities – it is human nature and must be acknowledged.
One thing I can tell you without hesitation nor mental reservation: I have not ever failed ANYTHING. I have been temporarily defeated, but I learned from it; and went on to be successful more times than I can remember – but I have not ever, and will not ever ‘fail’ anything. Neither should you.
